Your content coach
Emily Farris
Hi. I’m Emily Farris and I’ve been writing professionally for 20 years. Since 2009, I’ve been creating content for small businesses and big brands, including Food Network, ALDI, KitchenAid, Home Depot, Google, Capital One, Starbucks, Coca Cola, and Boar’s Head.
After watching small (and some big) businesses make the same easy-to-fix social media marketing mistakes over and over again, I decided it was time to share my knowledge. So, in 2019, I launched a self-paced social media copywriting course to help anyone write more effective, engaging, error-free social media content.
But I know it’s hard to write well if you don’t even know what you want to write about in the first place — which is why I now offer the Content Calendar Power Hour. In this one-on-one brainstorming session, we’ll knock out a month-long plan for your Facebook and Instagram, no matter your industry.
I’ve worked with television personalities, Instagram influencers, lifestyle brands, family farms, fitness experts, chefs, authors, artists, and manufacturers, and now I’m excited to help you tell your story through more effective, engaging social media content.
THE POWER HOUR
How It Works
We’ll connect on Zoom and together — in just one hour — we’ll develop a month-long social media content calendar for your business or brand. This will include ideas for timeline posts, stories, and reels, and more.
In addition to the video chat, we’ll work in a shared Google doc so we can make changes together in real time.
By the time we’re done, you’ll have enough content planned to post static to your Facebook and/or Instagram timeline(s) three times a week and then some.

The Not-so-Fine Print
Your content calendar will consist of ideas and topics for posts, stories, and reels. Copywriting and other content creation is not included in this offer; it’s available, but it’s like guac — it costs extra.
If you plan to post daily, a second session may be required (but it might not!).

"Any entrepreneur would be lucky to learn from Emily."
Obviously, I'm going to say good things about myself. But here are some nice things other people with important jobs (plus my mom) have said about me.
"Emily is an amazing writer and excellent communicator with an impressive record of crafting campaigns across traditional and emerging channels. She has an incredible gift for digital storytelling, and is one of my most respected colleagues in the space!"
"She's pretty good at all that computer stuff."
"Since first hiring Emily as a consultant in 2014, she’s taught me so much about marketing my small business on social media. Any entrepreneur would be lucky to learn what she knows."
"Emily is my ideas person. She thinks about concepts, story ideas, and social posts in a different way than the average bear — and then she’s able to teach and guide her clients on execution. That’s what makes her so valuable."
"Emily is a pro at creating a unique social voice, knowing how to capture an audience and keep them coming back for more. In addition to being an amazing storyteller, she’s the best kind of influencer — authentic. From optimization to content creation, Emily is great at distilling a complex challenge into a simple solution… and she usually does it with grace and a drink in her hand."
